This Affiliate Marketing update is coming to you in just the nick of time. Why you may ask? I will reveal that at the end of this article so read on!
Affiliate Marketing has been around for a very long time and began way back in the early 20th century. Businesses would pay other businesses to advertise and sell their merchandise which would open up a whole big audience of customers that they had never marketed to.
Many times these businesses would have a joint venture that they would sell each others' products so they had leverage to a larger market demographic. Let's say a dentist with a service but no product teamed up with a pharmacy that did sell products the patients could use.
The chiropractor would refer his customers to the pharmacy and they would get a discount mentioning the chiropractors name. The chiropractor could make money from the referrals to the pharmacy.
Now after looking at this the chiropractor decides that the pharmacy has more to gain on this deal. So the chiropractor would then in turn offer a discount to any referrals the pharmacy sent to the chiropractor business and they became affiliates.Today Affiliate Marketing is based upon the principal of marketing a product to the leads or lists of many other people. The affiliate business can leverage cheap, many times at no cost, marketing to have their product sold by offering some compensation for a reward of all the hard work that the affiliates do.
The only time an affiliate makes money is when they sell someone else’s product or service. The only time the business pays any affiliate money is when the affiliate makes a sell. Folks this is a "win-win" situation for everyone and there are some really good products out there to be sold almost without effort to a hungry market.
People like Mike Dillard, Yanik Silver, Dan Kennedy, and many, many more have made a fortune off of their own affiliate marketing. When you come across a product that you want to sell that is in really high demand, you would be crazy to not create an affiliate program for it. These guys can teach you a thing or two about affiliate marketing and just how important it is to their own businesses.
